Many times while working in the emergency room I find that my patients do not know much about their medical history. They fail to ask their primary care providers the right questions about their medical condition(s) and express to me that they are unhappy with how they are managing their medical health.

It is very frustrating to know that people do not advocate for themselves and in this case their health. Whenever it comes up in discussion and I notice that my patients do not have the answers to basic questions about their health I call them out on it, in a professional manner of course.

I want to provide this service for people who may need extra time discussing their health, medications, lab results, imaging studies or in preparation to seeing their primary care provider.

I know it can be overwhelming with all the information that is thrown at you and also sometimes providers either lack the time or do not make the time to ensure that their patients understand what was said or what is going on. I hope to bridge that gap of confusion with this service.
